Who we are

Habitnex is an iPhone app made by Mirjalol Jabborov. For anything about your data, write to [email protected].

What we collect

WhatDetails
Your accountWhen you sign in with Apple: an identifier Apple creates for this app, your name, and your email if you choose to share it. Also your time zone and the app language.
Your habitsTheir names, days, times, length and goals, and any changes you make to them.
How each day wentWhether a habit was kept, snoozed or skipped and at what time, the amounts you log (for example glasses or steps), and the notes you write.
Your answers at setupThe goals you pick and what you say about your energy and what gets in the way.
Coach messagesWhat you write to the coach and what it answers, if you use the coach.
Your settingsFor example which reminders are on and the coach's tone.

We don't collect your location, your contacts, your photos or an advertising identifier.

The waitlist

If you join the waitlist on habitnex.io, we keep your email address, the language of the page you used, your country, the site that linked you to us, and the answers you choose to give to the optional questions. Your country comes from Cloudflare, which works it out from your internet address; we don't store the address itself.

We use this to tell you when the app is out and to understand who is interested and what they want from it. It is not shared with anyone else. To be taken off the list, write to [email protected].

Apple Health

Connecting Apple Health is optional. The app only reads from it; it never writes to it. It reads workouts, runs and walks, mindful minutes and step counts, to check off the habits you linked to them.

What leaves your phone is the result: that a habit was kept that day, the time the workout started, and for step habits the day's step total. Your Health records themselves stay on your phone. Health data is never used for advertising and is not shared with anyone for marketing.

Your calendar

Calendar access is optional. The app looks at your calendar on your phone to see when you are busy. The names and details of your events never leave your phone. The times you are busy on a day are sent to our server so habits and reminders can be placed in free time, and so the coach can tell you what fits. If you turn on "Show in Calendar", the app adds your habits to a calendar called Habits on your phone.

The AI coach

The coach's answers and the wording of your reminders can be written by an AI model. That model runs at an outside provider, OpenAI, in the United States.

Nothing is sent there until you allow it in the app. If you allow it, the AI receives your first name, your habits with their times and results, your notes, the times your calendar is busy over the next week, and what you write to the coach. It does not receive your email, the names or details of your calendar events, or your Apple Health records.

You can turn this off at any time in Settings. The app keeps working without it: reminders use built-in texts and the coach chat is switched off.

Purchases

Subscriptions are bought through Apple. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card or billing details. The app only learns from Apple whether your subscription is active.

Who else handles your data

We use a few companies to run the service. They handle data only to provide that service to us.

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers or data brokers. We would only disclose it if the law required us to.

How it is protected

The app talks to our server over an encrypted connection. Your sign-in token is kept in the iPhone's Keychain. Access to the server and database is limited to the people who run the service.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your profile, habits, history, notes and coach messages are deleted from our database right away.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights over your data, such as objecting to how it is used or complaining to your data protection authority. Write to us and we will help.

Children

Habitnex is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and its date. If the change is significant, we will also tell you in the app.
